Automated the download of 460 photo galleries (1TB), saving hundreds of hours of manual work.
Challenge
A professional photographer had an extensive portfolio of around 460 galleries on Zenfolio, each containing 50 to 200 photos. Collectively, the galleries amounted to nearly 1TB of data. Downloading them manually was highly impractical, with each gallery taking 15–17 minutes, which would have required more than 120 hours of repetitive effort.
Solution
We developed an automated process using UiPath to manage the gallery downloads. The automation was designed to run seamlessly in the background, completing all 460 galleries in just 36 hours. In addition, we built an automated reconciliation step to verify the accuracy and completeness of the downloaded data, followed by generating a detailed report for the client. This ensured accuracy, consistency, and efficiency while preserving the original photo quality.
Result
The solution transformed what would have been over 120 hours of manual work into a fully automated 36-hour process. With automated reconciliation and reporting in place, the client had complete confidence in the accuracy of their data. All galleries were downloaded reliably and on time, enabling the photographer to access their complete 1TB collection with ease and prepare it for use on their new website without delays.
